Vue.js is on hold. Our last Vue-based project was the dealer portal built in 2022, which has since been migrated to React. No teams are actively developing new Vue applications, and there are no plans to start. The decision to standardize on React was driven by ecosystem alignment — Porsche Design System components, our shared component library, and internal tooling all target React.
Existing Vue knowledge on the teams has naturally atrophied as developers focused on React. For any team considering a frontend framework, React remains the organizational standard.
